We encourage use of our toolkits. User agrees not to adapt, alter, amend, abridge, modify, condense, make derivative works, or translate toolkits without prior written permission from the Provider. Ruben Alvero, M.D.

Ruben Alvero, MD

Dr. Ruben Alvero is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine and the Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, California. He graduated from Harvard College and received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his residency at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Alvero previously was Professor and Division Director at the University of Colorado and Brown University, Fellowship Director in REI at Brown, and Residency Program Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado. He is and has been NIH funded. Dr. Alvero is Immediate Past President of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. A 27-year veteran of the United States Army, he retired as a Colonel. A native Spanish speaker, Dr. Alvero is devoted to the care of underserved populations.
