An Egg-cellent Egg Freezing Opportunity for Breast Cancer Patients from Generation Next Fertility

An Egg-cellent Egg Freezing Opportunity for Breast Cancer Patients from Generation Next Fertility - blog post image

Everyone knows it’s October, but did you know it’s also Eggtober? In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Generation Next Fertility, are offering free egg freezing cycles to 25 women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The 25 will be picked at random at the end of October. However, even though this is in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, this program will be open to all cancer patients.

When the Alliance for Fertility Preservation spoke to Generation Next Fertility about this exceedingly generous opportunity, they expressed how grateful they feel to be able to make this possible for women who have been given a cancer diagnosis and are interested in having a family. They added that this isn’t a lottery or intended as promotional tool, as much as it is a chance to do something they feel can make an enormous impact on the lives of women who need it. They will also continue, as they have been, to offer a significantly discounted egg freezing and storage fee to any woman fighting breast cancer who signs up for the process with them during Eggtober. This includes a free fertility consultation, guidance, treatment options, compassionate care and one cycle of egg freezing.

Generation Next Fertility was founded by Dr. Janelle Luk and Dr. Edward Nejat. Both are board-certified physicians in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility who collectively have years of experience and insight into reproductive health. They have come together to offer patients a unique alternative to standard protocol when it comes to their fertility goals, whether it entails starting your family right now or preserving your fertility to start a family down the road. They describe their philosophy as an “East meets West with a steadfast and laser-focused commitment to what fertility care should be in the 21st century”. This means taking their compassion and customized care and extending to women in their fight against breast cancer by helping them have access to fertility preservation options.

Women who are interested in submitting themselves (or a friend or loved one) in the Eggtober campaign, must have received a breast cancer diagnosis, but not yet begun chemotherapy or had treatment in the last 6 months.
