Danya Kaye

Danya Kaye attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. She currently works as a Patient Partnering Manager at UCB BioSciences, where she supports global clinical study teams with the development of their patient engagement strategy for clinical development programs across a variety of therapeutic areas. Prior to UCB, Danya worked for Inspire, an online social health network comprised of patient communities for cancer, rare diseases, and chronic conditions, focused on selling and delivering patient engagement services to pharmaceutical and CRO organizations. Danya also spent several years as the Director of Client Development at The Avoca Group, a life sciences consulting firm dedicated to improving quality and compliance in the clinical trial execution process. She also worked at the Institute for International Research producing business conferences globally for the clinical trials industry, and at a leading advertising agency, DraftFCB.

Danya’s passion for patient-centered clinical research stems from her personal experience as a cancer patient who participated in a clinical trial that saved her life when she was faced with stage four Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in her mid-twenties. During her journey with cancer, Danya opted for ovarian tissue freezing, considered experimental at the time, in hopes of preserving her ovarian function and fertility in the future. She considers herself very fortunate to have been able to build her family with the transplantation of cryopreserved ovarian tissue. Danya lives in San Diego, CA with her husband, Josh, and their daughter Gabriella (and soon, a son as well!).

Her personal journey with clinical research and oncofertility fuels her passion and commitment to increase education, awareness and access to fertility preservation and family building options for cancer patients everywhere.
