Moira Kyweluk, PhD, MPH

Dr. Moira Kyweluk, PhD, MPH (she/her) is an anthropologist, public health expert, and bioethicist. Through Third Space Research, she provides clinical research, research ethics, and strategic planning support for clients in the pharmaceutical, health care, health retail, and health and wellness technology sectors. Dr. Kyweluk is a leading expert on policy and insurance coverage impacting fertility preservation in diverse populations specifically LGBTQIA+ and transgender Americans. She has applied her research expertise across the public and private sector, including the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern Feinberg School Medicine, and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Previously a Fellow in the Penn Postdoctoral Training Program in the Ethical, Legal and Social Implications (ELSI) of Genetics and Genomics, supported by the National Human Genome Research Institute through the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Dr. Kyweluk holds a joint PhD/MPH from the Northwestern University PhD/Master of Public Health Program in Medical Anthropology a BA in Anthropology (Honors) from Brown University.

Her work on reproductive endocrinology, ovarian reserve testing and direct-to-consumer anti-Mullerian hormone testing has been covered by outlets including Everyday Health, Technology Today, Consumer Affairs, Fertility & Sterility Dialog and published in numerous high-impact academic journals.

Dr. Kyweluk was previously a clinical research coordinator for the University of Pennsylvania Women’s Health Clinical Research Center & University of Pennsylvania Fertility Care Center overseeing clinical research and pharmaceutical trials on all aspects of reproductive medicine including in vitro fertilization and oncofertility.
